We are proud to be able to provide your newborn child with a good start to his or her new life.

We offer obstetrics services with an emphasis on the safety and security of both mother and child. In consultation with your doctor, we endeavour to fulfil all of your individual requirements. Your partner is, of course, more than welcome to participate in the birth experience.

Around 997 babies come into the world each year at the Salem Hospital. Our focus is on the provision of individual care and support to both parents before, during and after the birth. It is our aim to ensure that you can experience this very special time in an environment of safety and warmth.

The personal care provided by our experienced and expert personnel, as well as our optimum medical infrastructure, ensure that the birth of your child at the Salem Hospital will be a profound experience. Our services are constantly being expanded and tailored to encompass the latest medical findings. For example, alternative methods offered by individual midwives – such as homeopathy, aromatherapy and acupuncture – now occupy a firm place in the obstetrics process.
